School activities and student activities
Every year we teach water-based activities
to thousands of students and school children. We cater for school children aged 8-16 through to university students.
ALLA registered and is fully licensed
Bosworth Water Park is registered with the ALLA and is fully licensed to provide adventure activities to children. All our instructors are either RYA or BCU qualified and are fully CRB checked.
Schools information pack
Schools are welcome to contact us for copies of our dedicated schools information pack and price lists. Copies of our insurance, risk assessments and ALLA license can all be provided on request.
Our packages range in length from one hour to one week and can include recognised courses such as RYA Sailing Level 1. We also offer BCU canoe courses to groups.
We have a dedicated schools and groups brochure; please contact us if you would like to receive one.
We offer the following activities to groups and schools:
The students will use various types of boats depending on their size, age and experience. After a talk about the technique the students will be shown how to sail by one of our instructors. They will be able to take control of the boat as soon as the instructor thinks they are capable.
The average time required to achieve a Level 1 certificate is 16 hours on the water and RYA certificates can be issued to students who reach the required standard.

Raft-building encourages students to work together to build a raft using the parts provided. The finished raft will safely transport them around the lake.
Students will be split into two competing teams and there will be various races and challenges along the course.

Bell Boating and Raft-Building are both excellent team-building activities. The Bell Boats are very stable, large boats that can seat up to 14 students. The instructor steers the boat and motivates the crew. We have two Bell Boats so racing can be great fun and provides an excellent climax to the day’s session.

Taking to the water on our state of the art pedalo's the students will group in teams of 4 to navigate their way around the lake.
This fun experience is always a great hit with students of all ages.
The session will build on team work and coordination skills.

Students start by learning the correct way to hold the paddle and different paddling techniques. Once they have mastered the art of going forwards, backwards and turning, we progress onto games with the canoes, such as making a raft with canoes.
